Jungle Love
 Love is in the air at the Buffalo Zoo! Join Buffalo Zoo President/CEO, Dr. Donna Fernandes for a fun, and enlightening lesson on Animal Courtship and Mating. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the lecture will run from approximately 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The cost is $15 for non-members and $12 for Zoo members. Wine and cheese will be provided in our Education Department’s CRC facility, and non-refundable reservations are required. Polar Bites 2010
 Brighten up the winter doldrums with a fantastic evening event, which benefits the Buffalo Zoo. Join us for some culinary delights, along with wines, brews and specialty services from some of the area's finest establishments. This wildly popular fundraiser will take place at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy a basket auction, a silent auction and a visit with some of our animal ambassadors. Tickets are $30 pre-sale and $40 at the door. A limited amount of VIP tickets, which grant you early admission and a VIP goodie bag, are available by phone at a cost of $50. Photo Contest 2009
 The 2009 photo contest is underway! Categories include:Mammal, Bird/Plant/Insect, Reptile/Amphibian/Fish, Zoo Humor (caption is necessary), Student (18 years or younger)
Prizes for Each Category: 1st Place $50.00, 2nd Place $30.00, 3rd Place $20.00 Gift Certificate. Winners will be judged and notified by January 31, 2010. A reception to meet the judges, view all photo entries and announce the winners will be held in March 2010. The winning entries will be displayed at the Buffalo Zoo during 2010.
