Labor Day at the Zoo

Say "goodbye" to summer and "hello" to a fun-filled Labor Day at the Zoo. The event will feature a bounce house, activities, animal feedings and more! Admission is only $1, with coupons available at your local Tops closer to the event.

Jungle Cruise
Join the Women's Board of the Buffalo Zoo for a "Jungle Cruise" aboard the Miss Buffalo II on Sunday, September 19.  The twilight cruise will board at the Erie Basin Marina at 5:30 p.m. and return at approximately 9:00 p.m. This floating fundraiser costs $35 per person and will include snacks, beer, wine, soda and entertainment. Howl-O-Ween Hayrides Sponsored by Fisher-Price and Tops Friendly Markets
Join us for the Buffalo Zoo's 14th annual Howl-O-Ween Hayrides. There is some-thing for every boy and "ghoul" at this friendly, not frightful event! From 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., everyone will enjoy treat stations, hayrides, games, apple cider and donuts. We strongly encourage children to come dressed in their favorite Halloween attire and participate in our costume parade! Admission prices for children and adults are $6.00 for Zoo members and $9.00 for non-members. The evening offers an early, safe and fun Halloween experience for children of all ages.

High Five for the Military!
The Buffalo Zoo is now offering a "High Five For the Military" discount on the following date in 2010:
Veterans Day (November 11)
Members of the United States military and their group of up to six people will be admitted to the Zoo for $5.00 total. A valid military ID must be presented at the admission gates to receive discount. The Buffalo Zoo thanks you for your service!

Photo Contest 2010
The 2010 photo contest is underway! Categories include:Mammal, Bird/Plant/Insect, Reptile/Amphibian/Fish, Zoo Humor (caption is necessary), Student (18 years or younger). Prizes for Each Category: 1^st Place $50.00, 2^nd Place $30.00, 3^rd Place $20.00 Gift Certificate. Winners will be judged and notified by January 31, 2011. A reception to meet the judges, view all photo entries and announce the winners will be held in March 2010. The winning entries will be displayed at the Buffalo Zoo during 2011.
